About
I obtained my BFA (Bachelors or Fine Art) back in 2004 in my hometown of St. Louis. I’ve been working a 9-5 since I was old enough to work and didn’t really get into the corporate design setting until 2008. I’ve been doing freelance projects here and there since 2004 and have enjoyed it…so much so, that I’m doing it now as my 9-5.
I love and appreciate art and creativity. That’s what keeps me involved with things like wrestling. Yes, I know it’s fake, but the storytelling and personalities are good for my creative appetite. That’s also behind what has led me to get two tattoos…and I plan on getting more. As far as my design style, I really enjoy forms and shapes. I’m not exclusive to that, but a look at my portfolio and my logo, you can tell that I like to work with form and flow, shape, and negative space.
I think you’ll find working with me is easy, informative, and hopefully fun and habit forming. Talk to ya soon!

Pricing and Services
Pricing
I look to work with folks’ budgets, but that means you have to have a budget or at least a loose idea of what you can afford for what you want. I try to stay away from flat rates because each project is it’s own entity. A general starting point is around $300 for a logo and $700 for Brand Engineering. Work starts with half of your quoted rate as a deposit. Now like I said, it’s not a flat rate so your actual quote can/will be above or below that based on your needs. By giving that as a starting point, I hope to give a point of reference so we’re not tying each other up in some sort of negotiations.
When working with a client on their logo or brand, I do my best to guide and inform during the process. I’m not the type that is just going to push back because I personally don’t like an idea. I will give my opinion if asked, but if there is a reason why the logo may not be the best idea for the company, THAT’S when I chime in with reasons why I feel that is the case. As much as this logo is about you and your business, it’s also about me making sure I’m helping you communicate your idea effectively, and not just giving you a logo that will need to be updated next year or something that someone else already has.
Services
My services are Logo creation, Brand Engineering, and Brand Marketing.
Logos: Just as it says, this is just me creating a mark or type solution for you or your company. I can incorporate this into letterhead and business cards as an additional purchase.
Brand Engineering: I do research with Logo and Brand Engineering to get an idea of what the competition is doing, the difference here is that I set up guidelines for the use of your logo as well as ready made files for you to send to printers for the requested stationary such as envelopes, folders, postcards, business cards, and letterhead
Brand Marketing: This is for those companies that just don’t like/don’t understand social media such as twitter, facebook, and tumblr. It’s charged per hour and details can be discussed for those interested.
If you have questions or are interested in a quote, feel free to click the contact icon on the left, fill it out, and let me know what you’re looking for and your budget and we can work from there. Hope to hear from you soon!

FAQ's
Q: What’s the difference between a Logo and a Brand?
A: Brand design is the logo WITH rules to dictate how the logo can and should be used. This includes color codes, font choices, layouts, font creation when needed and measurements amongst other things. This is a GREAT way to protect your companies mark when dealing with multiple handlers, internal and external. The brand rules come in a document that you can send along with the mark to anyone that wishes to use the logo to insure that they know how they can, and can’t use the logo.
Q: What if I want just a logo and that’s it?
A: That’s fine, I create those as well.I’m not going to try and “upsell” you on a brand set up if it’s clear you only need a logo. I value my time and money just as much as you do so I do my best to give you what you need.
Q: Do you handle printing?
A: Typically, no. Now, if you’re really not interested in dealing with printers, for a fee I can set up the required documents and work directly with one of the printers I have a relationship with.
Q: Do you recommend printers?
A: I’d rather not, only reason is because I think you should work with the people you are comfortable with, not just who I like.
Q: When and how do I pay?
A: After we get a quote done and we decide to be partners, half of the quoted price is due up front with the balance due upon completion. I prefer to deal via Paypal and once we’re decide to roll with it, I’ll send the Paypal request.
Q: I’ve seen logos on the web for as low as $50, why are you charging so much more than that?
A: According to the Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines (2007), logo and branding for a small company should range from $2k – $50k for a small company (clearly, I’m not charging that). I understand how the economy is hurting us, so by all means, if you find a deal that works better with your pockets, go for it. My charge is based on me giving you the personal touch that you don’t get with many online services as well as my knowledge in the field. I’m not one to go around saying that I’m better than this designer or that designer and hope that my work speaks for itself.
Q: How many revisions do I get?
A: Like with the pricing, I try to avoid flat quotes on this. If I get a good understanding of what you’re looking for from our talks, I should be able to knock it it with less revisions. This kind of understanding also shows in the quote given. That said, if you are just requesting more revisions, we can quote that out on the front end as well. It’s a case by case basis.
Q: What if we can’t agree on the final product? Do I get a refund?
A: I do my best to make sure to give you what you’re looking for. That said, I work hard on each project and don’t offer refunds. The deposit is what gets the ball rolling. If you’re not happy by the time we get to the final project, then you just don’t pay for the final project and I don’t give you rights to sketches/drafts nor a final file to use and we go our separate ways.
Q: If we don’t agree on that last project, can I take the sketches and drafts to someone else to finish?
A: In the unfortunate event that we can’t agree on the final project, you can purchase the rights to sketches to be completed by someone else, but unless this kind of agreement is made or the final project is paid for, all sketches and drafts are property of jpdidit.
Q: I don’t see a phone number, how can I reach you?
A: Hit the envelope icon on the left. I don’t put a number up here because I spend most of my time researching and working on clients work. I like to keep the phone lines open for customers who’ve paid for my services. I tend to be able to shoot off an email reply fairly quickly so feel free and confident to shoot me an email with questions.
